Declan Fraser Racing Shifts Gears

It’s been an absolute joy to watch Declan Fraser’s racing skills go from strength to strength over the years. As a primary sponsor of Declan Fraser Racing, ShapeCUT has witnessed the young driver’s ascension from national and international kart championships to his current standings in the Toyota 86 Race Series.

The 18 year-old has taken on a new challenge earlier this year, with the help of mentorship provided by racing legend Paul Morris. Fraser joined Paul Morris Motorsports as an official driver for their academy, which is a role bestowed to very few drivers.

Morris Motorsports proudly boasts being the home of the Performance Driving Centre, a custom-built race course facility designed to give up and coming drivers the skills to become world class. It includes a full two-kilometre training circuit, skid pan, a mechanical turntable, conference auditorium and dedicated training rooms. It’s the perfect place for our Declan to take his driving career to the next level.

“All the skills and everything I will learn from Paul and the team are really going to help with my future.”, Fraser said.

The skills he will learn at the facility will directly benefit his performance in the Toyota 86 Racing Series, where he did remarkably well in the opening race at Phillip Island in April.

During the course of the three-round event he finished race one in sixth place, race two in fourth and, impressively, completed the third race by taking the chequered flag to the delight of onlookers.

Just a few weeks ago at the Townsville 400, Declan finished fifth in all three races, mere fractions of a second behind the competition. This fantastic result was sufficient to retain Fraser’s second place standing in the 2019 Championship.
